The University of Luxembourg uses Moodle as its educational platform. As a student, you can use Moodle to:

  • Enroll in courses
  • Gain access to course materials
  • Submit your assignments
  • Register for exams
  • Receive course announcements
  • Be informed about the student life on campus
  • Search for student jobs

1. Connecting to Moodle


Make sure you use correct login credentials depending on the network you're connected to!

  • If you are connected to the Internet outside of the University's network (for example, you're connected to Wi-FI at home), use your Student ID as a username and your University account password in order to access Moodle.
  • If you are connected to the Internet via Eduroam or CiteDeSciences networks, use "" as a username and your University account password for Eduroam.

Connecting to Moodle while outside the University network (e.g home Wi-Fi connection):

Go to: via your browser.

Click on "login to Moodle".

If you're outside the University network, you will see the page below:

Use your Student ID as a login, and your university account password.

2. Enrolling to Courses

Enrollment into courses at the University of Luxembourg is mandatory and should be done every semester.

Please note: The Student ID is valid for life and is linked to the student’s academic career. If a student changes degree program or if he or she has not attended courses at the University of Luxembourg for a given period, s/he must use the same Student ID issued upon his or her first enrollment.

Step 1: Go to

Step 2: Log in to Moodle using Student ID and Password.  Once you log in to Moodle, you have direct access to your Dashboard: your personal environment on the platform. The Dashboard has a list of courses in which you will be enrolled as a student for the summer/winter semester.

Step 3: To enroll in your different courses, click on “Course Catalog” and choose your study program and semester. For some courses, you will need an Enrollment Key. 

Select your semester and select the subjects which you want to enroll in.

Note: Normally, you receive your Enrollment Key:

  • on your student e-mail box,
  • from your Study Program Administrator (secretary),
  • or from your teacher.

Select the subject, enter your access key in self-enrollment (Student) - Enrollment Key, and click Enroll me.

3. Submitting Assignments

Step 1 : Go to Moodle and select the course for which you need to submit an assignment. You can see the deadline for paper submission.

Step 2: Click on the "Add submission" button. You can see the deadline for paper submission. 

Step 3 : Select the "file plus" or "folder plus" button (Note: you can also drag and drop the file into the designated field).

Step 4 :  Choose the file from your local device and select the "upload file" button.

Step 5 : Click "Save changes".

Step 6 : If you want to delete or replace the submission, select "Edit submission" (Note: you cannot always do that - it depends on the course configuration).

4. Registering for Exams

Step 1: When it is time to register for your exams, you will receive an e-mail in your University mailbox.

              "Title : StudCorner: Exams registrations are open: register now [Starting date to End Date]"

Step 2:  Click on Registration for Exams 20../20.. and use your Student ID and password for login.


Alternatively, go to Moodle > My Courses > Registration for exams [Year]



Alternatively, go to Moodle > Course Catalogue > [Select your department]             

Step 3 : Select Exam's Corner, fill the form for the registration, and select the subjects.

Note: Before you start completing the form, please read carefully the following instructions: 

  • You can only complete the form once! In case of an error, please contact your Moodle administrator.
  • Your choices will only be submitted once you have clicked on the button "Submit questionnaire" at the end of the form’s procedures.

5. Student's  Corner

This section will help you to find some practical tutorials, Q&A, official communication from SEVE, administrative and technical documents. To access the Student’s Corner, click on “My Courses” (main menu).

Step 1 : Log in to Moodle using Student ID and Password.

Step 2 : Select My Courses and find the Student's Corner on the list.


Go to Course Catalogue -> University Information → Student's Corner

6. Career Center

Career Center is a platform where you can find student jobs, internships, and learn more about career-related events hosted by the University of Luxembourg.

Step 1 : Go to

Step 2: If you have an account, please login using your student email ( and your password.

Important: the password could be different from your University account password!

If you are a new user, you need to register. Use your University e-mail address ( to register! Complete the form and click Submit.

Step 3: Complete your profile by filling in all the fields.

7. Accessing Moodle archives

Every academic year, a new Moodle page is created. In case you need to access the courses from your previous academic years at the University of Luxembourg, you can find the links to those in the "Essential Links" section on your Moodle dashboard.

Accessing Moodle archive is only possible when you're connected to the University network (e.g. Eduroam or Citedesciences) with the same login-password combination that you use for the rest of university services.

8. Moodle notifications

If you want to be updated on what's happening on Moodle without having to log in, you can enable notifications. This way you will receive an e-mail every time one of your courses has an update.

Step 1: Go to 

Step 2: Click on your name in the top right corner, and then on Notifications.

Step 3: Enable all preferences by activating all the buttons.

You can view your notifications by clicking the bell icon in the toolbar. You can also find notification preferences by clicking on the gear icon in the list of notifications.

9. Finding your teacher's email 

Step 1: Log in to your Moodle account.   


Step 2: Go to the course that you are looking for the contact information of the teacher.

Step 3: Next, click on Participants on the right side of the screen.

  Step 4: Then, click on the teacher's name and the contact details will be shown.
